DAF apprentices qualify as DAF technicians.
One in Three HGV vehicles on the road is DAF. Currently DAF technicians are very much in demand. We encourage our apprenticeships to stay on – and we have senior managers who started as apprentices.

Training is both onsite and at college. We work with a provider called Skillnet.
We have DAF apprenticeships at other dealerships so you will get to know other apprentices in the company as well as apprentices at Salisbury that have enrolled in previous years.
At our Salisbury dealership we usually take on an apprenticeship every year. (2020 was the exception due to the pandemic).
There is no cost to the apprentice for registration, travel, or accommodation at the college. This is organised for the apprentice.
Apprentices get to enter competitions like the World Skills championships. There is also an ‘Apprentice of the Year’ competition.
We usually take an apprentice every year. We start advertising in January and interview April/May time. For anyone that lives closer to Bournemouth or Southampton, we also have DAF technical apprenticeships there. At Southampton and Bournemouth we also have Parts as well as Technical apprenticeships available. We would always recommend that you apply early as we do not have a set closing date.
This is a perfect apprenticeship for someone who loves fixing things-someone who is passionate about the automotive trade.
