Bidfood UK

Bidfood UK is a leading food service wholesaler, that provides a whole host of job roles and career opportunities within a national network of 24 depots and locations.

If you are looking for an opportunity to start work and have a long-term career with a caring company, then you have looked at the right place. Many of our team have been with us for years, developing themselves and supporting the successful growth of both the Salisbury site and the wider business.

We are currently planning to recruit 2 Level 2 Apprentices within the Salisbury depot to support Transport Operations and our Stock Control areas. These are entry-level opportunities, specifically for those looking to get into work, wanting to gain a host of experiences and knowledge, whilst achieving a recognised qualification.  They will lead to full-time, permanent employment. We are also looking to offer Work Experience and Work Placements in the near future, for those looking to gain either an insight into the world of work or for those looking for a little longer experience through the holidays, internships, or gap years. (Subject to availability within the depot)

More information

Within Bidfood everyone has the opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge. This could be through internal development or external development. We work with a host of apprenticeship training providers to offer a broad range of further apprenticeship opportunities from Level 2 to Level 7. We have a number of people within the whole of Bidfood currently using all levels of apprenticeships to help their ongoing development and personal growth.

For the Level 2 apprenticeship roles we are currently advertising, training is delivered remotely via Teams or Zoom by our training provider, with workshops and skills coaching sessions. So there is no requirement to leave the depot or travel to alternative locations. This reduces the additional stress of having to move from location to location.

The introduction of 2 apprentices for this year is a new initiative to help the community and support new talent and early careers. We also have a business graduate program that is planned to run in June each year and we will be looking for 6 Management Trainee graduates, this is run centrally for the wider Bidfood company and not specific to Salisbury, but we would welcome applicants from all areas.

We are currently developing a standard to offer work experience opportunities (up to 2 weeks) and work placement opportunities for term holidays, interns, and placement years.
