More information
Whilst serving in the Army you could work anywhere in the UK, or even overseas. However, there are many Army bases close to Salisbury including Tidworth, Bulford, Blandford, Warminster and Andover where you could spend part of your career.
The Army is an employer provider of apprenticeships, and you’ll start your apprenticeship as part of your initial trade training course, after completing 14 weeks of basic soldier training (this is 6 or 12 months if you start at the Army Foundation College aged 16-17). You’ll complete your apprenticeship, putting the theory into practice working with your unit.
When you start in the Army you’ll get subsidised accommodation on camp, so your commute will often only be a few minutes stroll from your bed. Most weekends, you’ll get to go home and visit your family (if you want to!).
We are always open for applications and you can apply from age 15 years 7 months.
