Each year we look at our apprentice requirements. We have in the past had Electrical Apprentices, IT Apprentices, Plant Mechanical Apprentices, Welding & Fabrication Apprentices.
At the moment we are recruiting an Apprentice Water Engineer

They will attending Bridgwater & Taunton College on a block release basis studying for a Level 2 NVQ Water Industry (Network Construction Operations) Water Utilities Operative Course over a 2-year period.

Key Skills Required:

  • Good organisational skills, conscientious and a willingness to meet deadlines.
  • Good communications skills.
  • Confident to deal with company personnel and customers.
  • Full driving licence required and own transport and/or working towards it.
  • Punctual.
  • Your duties will include working as a part of the Water-Civils-Sewer team, within our premises at Dinton and on our customer sites. The role is an apprentice water engineer, to be trained and to assist our engineers in their work. You will attend college for formal training.
  • To carry out tasks in a safe and conscientious manner.
  • You would be required to be flexible and carry out any duties which are reasonably considered to be within your capabilities. This will include occasional staying away.

No previous irrigation or drainage experience is necessary, but you will be eager to learn, prepared to get stuck in from day one and happy to work outdoors in all weathers.
