Architecture Made Simple - an Autumn Workshop

Want to get going on your design journey? Join Scrace Architects for a mini adventure into how we shape buildings and our environment. Revealing ideas about how art and architecture work together, the “Architecture Made Simple” workshop will help you to see space differently.

Aimed at students interested in or signed up to studying Architecture, Art, or Interior Design at University, the workshop offers a quick and easy introduction to design and architectural practice. Over the course of 6hrs this workshop will provide a simple toolkit and foundation to undergraduate study as well as other disciplines such as fine art, sculpture and construction. Led by Tim Scrace, an artist and creative practitioner who enjoys documenting spaces and engaging with the environment, the 'Architecture Made Simple' workshop will introduce students to some of the following key skills:

• Interpreting a brief
• Developing ideas and concepts
• Model Making
• 3D design
• Drawing techniques
• Presentation

Alongside theoretical study, students will be given a practical project to complete, enabling them to put their learning into practice. The project will also feed into Tim's latest artwork INTERVENTION which will be showing as part of the Salisbury Art Trail. Ideally suited to students aged 16 - 25, this is a not to be missed course for anyone interested in pursuing a creative or construction career path. Whether already at University or not.
